I am a highly skilled Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) clinician based in South Manchester. I am CBT therapist, supervisor and lecturer and published author.

 

I work as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness practitioner in Manchester, and teach CBT skills at various universities as well as work for the NHS and privately. I am accredited with the BABCP as a therapist, supervisor and teacher. I am currently studying for a Ph.D with my main area of research being within CBT.

At CBTmindfulness I offer one to one therapy and have set up and facilitated Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) groups and groups for Exam anxiety/stress for young people. I am passionate about well delivered, well evidenced interventions in CBT and working with people to achieve best practice and real collaborative effective therapy. I teach on the M.Sc. in CBT course at Salford University and on various courses. I am a BABCP accredited trainer / teacher. I have a wealth of teaching experience at pre and post qualification level and have also taught at other institutions such as Leeds Met and Leeds University.

STRESSBUSTING for exams

Children express anxiety in different ways, behaviourally or emotionally, which can make them drift away from concentrating on the here and now due to the stress of exams pressure and results.  Our “Stress Busting” course provides a five-week programme to help children and young people manage their anxiety before, during and after exams as well as for their future.
